I build new products at Nooks. Before that I spent a few years building FullyRamped, a voice AI platform that trained sales reps by letting them practice on simulated prospects. Earlier I was an early employee at Skiff, which Notion acquired, and ran growth at Verkada. I studied computer science at Stanford, mostly the parts about language.
I live in San Francisco with my wife.
Thinking about
- The medium is the message.
- What changes when intelligence becomes too cheap to meter.
- The base building blocks of the simulation: energy, intelligence, currency.
- How an energy-hungry corporation organizes labor, capital, and pipe, and what that says about how to organize work that runs on intelligence.
- How to cut intelligence into applications of the right size.
- Being a founder is about having range.
- What AI does to our brains, our thinking, our organizations, our relationships. So much is lost when we aren't the ones doing the writing.
- Too much Claude for the wrong things. The right things are the ones where no new thought is needed.
- Being bored is good. Overscheduling leaves no time to think. Too many screens, too much information, too much entertainment, too much consuming.
